ALERTI: Alert warns of local or national emergencies.
When an alert announcemenl cornea on the currenl
radio station, ALEftTi wiN appear on the display. You will
hear the anno-unoeinent, even it the valume is muted
or a casselte lape or compact disc is playing, If the
cassette tape or compact disc player is playing, play wilJ
stop during lha announcement. Vou will not be abte
to
turn otf glert announcements.
ALERTI will nof be aHfecled by tests ol the emergency
broadcast systerri. Thifi feature is not supported by
all RDS stations.
IMFO (fnformatlon}r If the cur-reril station has a
message, lha information symbol will appear on the
display Press this bulton to see the message, The
message may display tho artisT and song title, calf In
phono numbers, etc.
RD5 and DAB Messages
IT the whole message is nol displayed, parts of it wNf
appear every three seconds. To scroll Ihrough lha
message at your own speed, press the INFO button
repeatedly, A new group Qf words will appear on
Ihe display with each press. Once 1he complete
message has baen cJisployad. the inforirialien symbol
will disappear from the display unlil another new
message is receivad- The old message can be displayed
by pressing Ihe INFO button until a new massage is
received dr a different station is tuned lo.
When a message is not available from a station, NO
INFO will be displayed,
TRAP (Traffic): Press this button to receive traffic
announcements, li the current tuned station does not
broadcast traffic announcemenls, the radio will seek lo a
slfllion that does. When the radio finds a slaEton that
broadcasts lra№c announcemenls, Jt will stop, TBAF wifi
appear on ïhe display and when a traffic annourbcemenl
comes on you will hear ih If no stahon Is found, NO
TRAF will appear on the display.
