CD Adapter Kits
It is possible to US& a portable CD player adapter kit
with your cassette tape player atler activating the bypass
feature on your lape player.
To activate the byiMss feature, pertorrm the toüowing
steps:
■f. Turn 1 he ignition on.
2. Turn The radio off.
3. Press and hold Iha TAPE DISC buiton for five
seconds. The radio will display READY and the
tape syrnbol on the display will flash, indicating the
feature ts active.
4. Insert the adapter into the cassette tape slot il will
power up the radio ar>d begin playing.
The override feature wHi remain active untit the eject
Symbol is pressed-
Playing a Compact Disc
Insert a disc partway into Uie slot, label aide up. The
player will pull il in and the diso should begin playing.
The display will show the CD symt>oL If you want
to Insert a compact disc with Ihe ignition off, first press
DiSP or the eject symbol
if an error appears on the display, see "Compact Disc
Messages” fater in Ehre section.
1 PREV (PreviouS)i Press this pushbutton to go tai the
previous track if the current irack has been playing
for less thar> eight seconds. If pressed when iJie current
track has been playing lor more Ihgn eight seconds,
If will go to the beginning of ihe current track. TRACK
arnJ ihe Irack number wHl appear on the display. If
you hold this pushbutton or press it more than once, Ihe
player will conlinue moving back through the disc-
2 NEXT: Press this pushbullon to go to the nest track.
TRACK and the track number will appear on ihe
display. 11 you hold Ihis pushbutton or press il more lhan
once, the player will conlinue moving lorward through
the disc.
3 REV (Haverse^; Pre&& and hold thi$ pu$hbuiion to
reverse quickly within a track. Press and bold this
pushhultcn for less than two seconds to reverse at six
times the nornnal playing speed. Press and hold il
for more |hap tvuo seconds Id reverse at 17 bmes the
nomial playing speed. Release it to play the passage.
The display will show ET and the elapsed time.

FWO (Forward): Press and hoEd This pushbutton to
advance quickly wilhin a track. Press and hold Ihis
pushbutton for less than two seconds to advance al six
times the normal playing speed. Press and hold il tor
more lhan two seconds to advance al 17 times the
normal playing speed. Release it lo play the passage.
The display wlfl show ET and the elapsed time.
