THEFTLOCK'^' system has locked uip. You musi neturn
to itie dealership for service.
Playing a Cassette Tape
Your tape player is built to wor1( best with lapes thaï are
up to 30 to 45 minutes long on each side. Tapes
longer than that are so thin ihey may not wortt wall In
this player. The longer sida with the tape visible should
face to the righL If Ihe ignilton Is on, bul the radio is
off, the lape can be inserled and will begin playing. A
tape syrnboi is shown on Ihe display whenever a tape is
inserted. It you hear nothing but a garbled &our>d, the
lape may nol bo in squarely. Press the eject symbol to
ramove Ihe tape and sian over.
While Ihe tape is playing, use the VOL, AUDIO and
SEEK controls jusi as you do for The radio. The display
will show TAPE and an arrow showing which side of
the tape is playing.
If you want to msen a tape while the ignition is ofl, hrsl
press the ejecl symljot or DISP.

Radio Messages
1 PREV (Previous): Your tape musl have at least three
seconds Qt Silence between each seigetion For previous
to work. Press this pushbutton to go to ihe previous
sol action ЙП the lape II the currenl selection has been
playjp^g for less than three seconds. If pressed when the
cuiiienl selection has bean playing ftom 3 lo 13 seconds,
]| will go to the beginning of ihe previous aelectliin or
the beginning of the current sdection, depending upon
the position DO Ihe tape. If pressed when the cument
selection has been playing lor more than 13 seconds, rt
will go to the beginning of the Current setectiom
SEEK and a negative number will appear on the display
while the cassette player rs in ihe previous mode,
pressing this pushbutton multiple times will increase the
number ot selections to be searched back, up to -Э
2 NEXT: Yüur tape must have at least three seconds of
silence between each selection lör nejd to work.
Press this pushbutlon to go to Ihe nein selactron on ihe
tape, tf you press ihe pushbutton more than once,
the player will continue moving forward through the tape.
SEEK and a positive numbar will appear on Ihe
dispicy.
